Area of application

Nanofibers are high-tech fibers with a diameter that less than 500 nm (1 nm = 10-9 m). Researchers all over the world are looking for new ways of its usage in all possible application fields. Nanofibers often become a unique deeply integrated component of the end products.

We are working both customers and researchers in order to show you in what way nanofibers can improve end products, and also be used to develop completely new materials and find new application areas.

Nanofibrous materials are employed in a very interesting set of end products. The following examples demonstrate only some of the applications of the end-products that benefit from the use of nanofibers:

Nanofibers manufacturing

In general, there are several ways of nanotechnology material creation: electroforming, self-assembly, synthesis on templates, electric blowing, power spinning, melt forming and some other ways that are less developed and widespread. Nowadays the only commercial process of nanofibers creating is electroforming, and for the accomplishing of this method we use a polymer solution and a source of high uninterrupted power distribution. Filtering material are a structure of polymer fibers of one or more set point diameters with the distribution over these fibers either over layers or in a related ratio throughout the material. The material can be made from one polymer fibers or from a mixture of fibers which obtained from various polymers, as well as from polymers containing plasticizing, hydrophilizing and other additives. Materials can be made in the form of canvases of size 900x1500 mm, 680x1500 m, rolls up to 700 mm wide and tapes 25-60 mm wide. If this occurs, the materials can be plot on substrate of gauze, fiber-bonded cloth (from polypropylene, polyesters, etc.) or to a substrate which is formed during the production of the material and consisting of thick, bonded polymer fibers.

In the filtering polymeric materials manufacturing, polymers are used to make it possible to obtain the required mechanical, thermal, chemical, and filtering properties. Our company produces or produced materials, which made from perchlorovinyl, polystyrene, styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer, polytrifluorostyrene, polysulfone, cellulose acetate, polyarylate, some fluoroplastics and phenol-formaldehyde resins.

Existing technologies and equipment make it possible to obtain homogeneous fibers or their mixtures with fiber diameters from 0.1 to 10 μm. The range of surface densities of materials is from 10 to 300 g / m2, for this purpose the packing density of the fibers is 2-10%.

In the process of the fibers forming, the materials acquire a stable electrostatic (electret) charge, which, in combination with the fiber diameter, determines the high filtration efficiency.

In terms of filtering materials produced by our company, highly effective aerosol filters have been created, incl. in the protection against radioactive and toxic aerosols, filters for liquids, separators for chemical sources of current.

One of the main application areas of our materials is the production of highly effective respiratory protective equipment - respiratory masks.

Our production has not stopped for more than 20 years and we remain the leader in the manufacturing of nanofibers in the CIS and Baltic countries. We supply nanofibers to more than 25 countries and we always keep an open mind to have new business relations with our future partners.
